Swiss K-31 - rechamber to .308 ??

How similar are the rounds??  Can you rechamber to .308 without setting the barrel back??  Anyone tried this with any success?

Dimensions order:
Cast Type, Bullet Diameter, Case Length, Rim Diameter, Neck Diameter, Shoulder Diameter, Base Diameter, Cartridge OAL

The cartridges are very close....but, you would have to set the barrel back a bit due to the short case length of the 308. Fifty one millimeter case versus fifty five millimeter case.

The 7.5x55 is a Rebated Rim as well.

 You must be thinking of 7.5 swiss cases made from .284 win brass, Because standard 7.5x55 brass does not have a rebated rim.
