Canadian Orders for Laminate Stocks *&*&%&^^&
« on: October 16, 2006, 05:57:07 AM »
Tried to order a stock set from NEF and they won't even ship a stock set into Canada. I can understand if it's steel gun parts or barrels but wood????????? Ridiculous!!!!! I think our two countries are growing apart.

Unfortunately, that's their policy, no international shipments, they need an export license to do it, and it's not cheap, so they just don't.

IIRC, Brownell's ships to Canada, and they carry H&R stocks.

Hey McLernon, for what it's worth I don't know what part of Canada your in but I am in the Northeast USA and if I can help you by shipping any non-prohibited items like stocks or other parts to you in Canada just let me know, nothing extra to you except the actual shipping costs to me....<><.... :)

Hello MSP Ret:

That's a very kind offer!! I might want to take you up on it sometime. I live about 60 miles east of Toronto. I wouldn't want to end up on the wrong side of our laws though. Our laws regarding guns are pretty restrictive with stiff fines and even mandatory prison time for some offenses.

I must tell you though as a 'budding handiholic' I sure envy your ability to get extra barrels. It's really a great feature of NEF rifles. And it's not just the cost of buying a new frame: the availability of Handi's is thin. The one I just got I had shipped from ALBERTA because none of the gun stores around here stock them. Wally World doesn't sell ANY guns at all. Even Canadian Tire is out of the gun business. It's all the paper work with registration I guess.

Thanks Again

I have a camp in Bradford Maine, a bit North of Bangor and friends in Millinocket. During the winter months I can sometimes be found coyote hunting on the "Golden Road", owned and maintained by the paper companies, it is mostly a gravel road that starts in Millinocket Maine and ends in Canada. I also visit Houlton and Fort Kent is only another hour or 2 north. Perhaps someday if the need is large enough we could meet halfway and exchange plesentries over a cup of coffee....<><.... :)

Hello MSP Ret:

Sounds like a great idea. But first I have to become a fully fledged Handi-holic!!!!!!!!!! I'm working on it.

Thanks
