Terry i have been watching this post hoping someone would reply been wondering myself.Have you tried the 50g federals on any game? I tried the 50g pmc last year on one coyote had to make two hits to anchor him.i used 40g win for years they shoot very good out of my lakefield.switched to the rem 33 pt they shot well also different impact point than the win.have only killed three with the rem but they are performing well so far.I have to use the rim fire here on public lands during small game season.

Terry, I've shot them in my marlin bolt gun. They shoot 1" compared to other 22 mag fodder that will shoot 3/8" @ 25 yards. Thanks, Larry

The Federal 50 grain ammo shot terrible out of my gun 2+ inches at 25 yards the 40 grain ammo and the 33 grain ammo I shot shot a lot better so I traded off the 2 boxes of Federal 50 grain I had left. The 40 grain PMC stuff shot a 5/16 inch 3 shot group at 25 yards. I know 50 yards would have been a better test but I was just sighting in my scope and only had the 50 grain shells left after getting the scope sighted in and I figured if they shot bad at 25 in my gun they would be no bargain at 50. Glad to hear they shoot good in your guns. Jim
