DW 22 Should I?
« on: October 18, 2006, 07:10:55 AM »
I am looking at a Monson 22 with a 6" heavy ribbed barrell  for $300.  Is this a good price for one?  Second I have heared a lot of bad info on the 22 DW revolvers as far as accuracy goes  and would I be better off just going after a Smith 17?  The gun shop said it is an accurate gun but I am still iffy.  What do all think about it?

Thanks

I have a 8" SS Monson .22 that is very accurate and I would not sell it for double that. Theres a picture of it in the Pic thread.
If it's good and tight and looks like it was taken care of it will probably become your favorite .22 revolver

Depends on how common they are where you are. $300 may be on the high side if there are others floating around. It'd be worth it where I am, because they're very rare up here.

Well I went ahead and told them I would take it.  I think I can get my money back out of it if I dont like it.
