As far as I know you can still get a T/C Renegade, in flint, or percussion, .50, .54, .58 calibers thru the T/C Custom Shop at Fox Ridge Outfitters. www.foxridgeoutfitters.com  ;D

I heard it from a customer at my work and a guy at a local gunshop. Didn't get a chance to call TC friday. Will do it Monday and post what they say.

I believe they have done that once already. They stopped making them for awhile as I recall or at least they weren't in the catalogs for awhile and then they were available only thru the Custom Shop and then they were added back to the line up.

These days the inlines are about all that seems to be selling. TC is pushing the Encore to the almost exclusion of the rest of their entire product line. They are paying out so much money for advertisng on TV and to send folks off hunting with the Encores and have so many well known hunters/writers on staff I'm not sure they are gonna be able to afford to make anything but Encores soon.

I have my Renegade so I'm not real concerned about it.

I have my eye on a new Renegade over at the custom shop. Please be sure to post the reply T/C Inc sends your way. Mrs. Mayhem may get something in the $400 price range that comes in a long and narrow box ;D added to my Christmas list come  November 1st.

Well I guess some rumors are true. I just talked to T/C and the lady promptly told me that they had already discontinued the Renegade :( :( So I called the T/C Custom shop and the lady said that so far they are still going to produce the Custom Renegade, but T/C told them to not to take any more new orders for now and that they are out of stocks and it might be until the first of the year before they get anymore in. Just my luck!! Fingers are crossed on that. I really want that 58 flinter Renegade. Well I guess if it is meant to be it will happen.

Better find a Renegade in stock somewhere, and buy it! If it ain't a .58, drop in barrels are available from Green Mountain.  ;)

Gee, does that mean my left hand 50 and 54 are worth more money?  (Not that I'm selling!)

I love the T/C stuff, but they have been heading in the wrong direction for some time now. They have disontinued many great models, use that stupid QLA thing now and have raised their prices thru the roof after the fire. Also, GM is disontinuing many of their drop in barrels for T/C and others, like 60% or something. Man, this all just stinks. I loved it when T/C was a traditional company with just a few inlines thrown in, now they are almost totally the other way. GM is also doing the same thing. Jack.

They do stop making rifles and pistols that should be continued. The T/C Scout pistol is one of the most fun and accurate firearms in use. Shooting the T/C Scout pistol on shooting sticks is awesome. The accuracy of this pistol is unbelievable and easy. I tried to get a T/C Scout Rifle but it went sower.

My first Muzzle loader was a 54 T/C Renegade. The accuracy is also outstanding. My Brother used it one season and killed a large Bob Cat. He remarked at how easy it was to shoot. Love the BP shooting systems.

This year will see me using a Fling Lock for the first time hunting. Got a real nice T/C 54 with a Green Mountain barrel to hunt Muzzle loading season this year.

I would buy a new Scout pistol right now if they still made them. I will probably go and get the Kankhe now. The Renegade should still be a production model, not just a custom through Fox Ridge. Jack.

My Renegade .50 is over 20 years old and going strong. I just passed it on to my son this season and he used it to harvest his first buck. It is somewhat unique in that I had a gunmith Parkerize the barrel and all the blued steel hardware about 15 years ago. It makes for a cool looking dull grey finish that holds bore butter well.
...for him there was always the discipline of steel.
