Head transport and storage

One more day to struggle through before my son and I head off to White Oak Preserve on Saturday! We will be bringing the heads (boar and or goats) home for a local taxidemist to work up. I will need them until I am able to make the connection with the taxidermist. What advice can you give on the transport and storage so that I don't mess them up before they get to the taxidermist?

Freeze'm! Cape or get'm caped..screw the salt...and put them in the freezer. If you don't cape heads yourself and can't get them caped....put them into the freezer whole.
Have a great hunt and we want pictures!!!!!!!

If you think there is a chance that the heads may sit in the freezer for a while I would cover them with something. Seems to protect the hair better.

I would double bag them in heavy plastic trash bags, get as much air out as possible and seal them as well as possible. I had a whole bobcat in my freezer like this for a few months and the ears didn't get ruined.
