I came across a stainless single action revolver the other day, and was wondering if anyone can give me some info.

10 inch barrel
.44 mag
load on half cock
stamped "Interarms, Alexandria, Virginia"
serial #IHMSA XXX
It's been used some, but is still in original box.

Is this a collector or a shooter?

Thanks.

I've heard if you keep anything long enough, it will become collectable.  The Virginian Dragroon has not seemed to gather any collector interest yet, but they certainly are great shooters.  I have never owned one myself, but a couple of my friends have and really liked them.  That's one I would enjoy shooting but hang onto the original box-just in case.  Good shooting.   44Man

I had ont of these guns with 7 1/2" barrel. Shot very well but I sold it because replacement parts were hard if not impossible to get should something go wrong with the gun and because of all the noise the gun made when cycling the action. I think the action made three or four very loud "clicks" when cycling the action and ended up spooking deer when sitting in my tree stand. I never could reduce the noise level of the action. - J.Solo
