I know the Survivor model is hollow, but what about the other synthetic stocks? Does the butplate come of with screws? Can items be stored in it for "Just in case?"

Yeap they are hollow alright. But if you did stash goods away in them you would have to bring a philips head screw driver to take off the buttpad. I suppose you could always modifiy it and make small knobs inset into the rubber pad.
That's one thing that makes the Survivor stock so handy, the adjustable screw by hand.

Hi All

I suppose that you could just take a slip on ammo carrier and use one spot for a small screwdriver

Or drill a small hole in the handle of a little screw driver and put a key ring through it and attach it to your sling or sling stud...

A couple here have used the spray foam method to fill in the hollow synthetic buttstock. Just go easy with the stuff, as a little really foams up in size and you could have a real mess on your hands. That stuff doesn't exactly wash off :-[
I used styrofoam peanuts in one of mine. Crammed it real tight, and it helped out a lot. Made it more balanced and a better solid feel. Try it out and see how you like it.
