Here in Minneapolis there is. A lot of people are fed up with things like Moslem cab drivers who need to stop for prayer breaks in mid-fare and who will not carry people who are in posession of alcohol from the airport. There are Moslem cashiers at supermarkets who will not ring up pork products at the checkout. Public pools have fired male life guards so that female Moslems can swim at reserved times. There's a definite backlash among the people. From the government, however, we still have the United Nations flag flying over Minneapolis city hall (literally true, but the way), and no movement toward increasing the number of taxi licenses so that other people can take up the slack for the non-performing Moslem drivers. A number of old and established Middle Eastern restaurants have closed down for lack of business. Business is really down significantly at a favorite cafe of mine who is run by a good Moslem man. When I went into a Middle Eastern grocery store where I get some favorite foods they were surprised and happy to see me again. I'm not sure of what's happening to the girls who won't let people pay for pork products, but one would hope they are being fired on the spot for inability to do their jobs. In many ways it looks like the formation of an Islamic ghetto is in progress, just as they have in the European countries where Moslems have isolated themselves from the rest of society.

We don't have any Muslims in our immediate area...but beyond that, I agree with Powderman and Ray...

Yes, I suppose it's true that not all Muslims are terrorists...but virtually all terrorists ARE MUSLIMS..

I would rather be distrusting and alive, than trusting and dead...

If we have any here, they are definately low profile. As anti-illegal Mexican as this place is, Muslims don't want to rattle their chains and become noticed.

No animosity up in my neck of the woods. If people were doing the sorts of things that seem to be happening in the original post, though, that would change.

We have a small nest of them here. They are pretty quiet. But hey the rednecks still hold the majority here. And our foreiign policy is a quote from Will Smith " Don't start nuttin wont be nuttin"

The big war will be when the muslims unite against the west. Their religion plainly states that they are obligated to conquor and convert infidels, and lying and cheating is bad, except to an infidel.

Its another reason I am disgusted with this administration, the Sunni sect is the most progressive, educated group and hate the uneducated fundamental, radical Shite sect. And they are the ones we maybe could have made a deal with, now we have allienated them. Why do you think Saddam attacked Iran, he said: God only made three mistakes, when he created flies, persians and jews.

I don't agree with the Jew part, but do about flies and persians.

I seem to notice a lot of them running convience stores and motels. While some seem to be friendly when you buy something in the store, I'm not sure I would trust them with my back turned.

I only know of one here in Fairbanks, and he sends his kids to Lighthouse Christian school. His family keeps a very low profile. He is a Doctor, specialising in womens cancer treatment. He did good with my wife, she likes him.

I don't trust them,I don't believe thier agenda is worse than ours or any better.I am a Christian-they are a Muslim we have been at war for nearly 700 years and from what I have seen for the most part we Christians have been to our loss,more lenient toward them a -result of our Christian beliefs.
They on the other hand have openly dedicated thier lives and thier childrens lives to the destruction of Christians,Jews and other infidels.I have heard that Al Queada has intended the conversion of America in like 75 years .Yes there is on my part at least,here, antagonized feelings ,they killed a good kid I watched grow up and if I could be there sending them to heaven I would.I have heard rumors of camps here in the catskills Training them right here in the U.S.of A -I keep my eyes out but nothing concrete yet. $:-\$

Maybe Ellison should have done alittle more research before he asked to use Jeffersons Koran. I'm sure Jefferson is spinning in his grave...... it sounds like he truly understood the Muslims. Heck even I own a Koran!!!

Here in the Peoples Republic of Minnesota I think this muslime cabby deal Is gonna get interesting. They are refusing to pick up fairs carrying dogs even service dogs. I can't imagine the ACLU's fruitcakes looking into this one. Handicapped people verses a far out religion.

Thats really gotta pit them against themselves at the ACLU.

m although I would rather view people as Will Rogers did when he said " I never met a man I didn't like !", such a position is getting harder to maintain. Although i don't like to pre-judge a person, these Muslims are making it quite difficult. I would expect a bit more condemnation of terrorists and their activities..but we get precious little of that from the Muslim community...so we are left to assume that there is very little condemnation of those murderous practices.
Recently spoke to a Marine (Iraqi vet) who said it was worth going over there and kicking butt, just for the way they treat little girls. He said little girls are treated lower than dogs.

...Dogs, they dislike greatly..

I wonder why those muslims hate dogs! I guess they must have good noses and hunt dead themselves. That really has to be a character defect, to not like dogs. I don't think they would like it around my house then. Lucky me!!!

I would imagine they don't like dogs because dogs don't like them. I've noticed dogs are a good judge of charicter. Has anyone else here ever seen the reaction of a normally passive dog to someone of unscupulous charicter walking by? I beleave dogs can sence someone with bad intentions.

And it definitly has to be a chariter flaw to hate "mans best friend". I can't imagine life without dogs. There would be something missing.
