Installing a Red Dot on a Desert Eagle?
« on: October 27, 2006, 09:47:43 AM »
I recently was given a Desert Eagle in .357 Mag., for my b-day.  8) I was considering installing a Red Dot scope on this handgun, but was wondering if the recoil would be too much.  ???

The Desert Eagle's barrels do not move with the slide. The barrels are in a fixed position and the slide ejects the brass.

Your opinions and experience is appreciated.
Thank you, Bowhunter57

If I can put a Ultra-dot on my 500 Mag and 460 Mag, I am sure it will hold under the 357 Mag. I have seen Ultra-dots on the Desert Eagle 44 Mag and not any problems.

Redhawk1,
Thanks for the hot tip.  ;D I'll try the iron sights and if I'm not happy with them, a red dot will be the cure.
