Model 94 .30-30 Scout Style scope mount for non-AE model?
« on: October 28, 2006, 04:44:18 AM »
I'm looking for a scout style scope mount for a non-angle eject model 94 in .30-30.  At this time, I don't know if the rifle is pre-64 or not, or even if it makes a difference for the scope mount.

I've done some searching online, but haven't found any solid information.  I seem to remember that B-square made such a mount, but can't find it now.

Any help would be appreciated.

I've only ever seen a picture of the scout style scope mount.  No idea where to get one, but there is another option.  I've seen a 'side mount' that puts the scope off-axis with the bore.  It would make extreme long range shots quite difficult when you have to compensate for bullet drop and the difference between line of bore and line of sight, but to 150 or so when sighted at 100 no probs.

Mine wears a peep sight, though.  Works for me.
Searching for the perfect left handed revolver.....

I found what I was looking for.  It's called a B-Square Mono-Mount.  I guess I just got lucky by looking on Ebay at the right time.  Picked it up for $9.50.  I probably would have paid $30-40 if I had been able to find one at a retailer.
