K31's on sale
« on: October 28, 2006, 05:35:41 AM »
Dunhams is marking the k31's down from 150 bucks to 99 bucks on Sunday and Monday Oct. 29-30. I already have preapproval from the wife. I told her they are on SALE for two days only. I have two k31's already but can not resist hand pick of these fine rifles for so cheap. I need a bigger safe. My only question is should I buy one or two or three or.........

CH - how is this for logic?  I really fell for those K-31's, so i got one to leave entirely original, then I figured I needed one with aperature sights - so I got another, then I saw the excellent clamp-on scope mount and with my old eyes I need a scope - so I had to have one for the scope, and then I figured a K-31 would be just about perfect with a scout scope arrangement -so, well you know the rest.  Now I am figuring I just might need one with a sling, and one with a bayonet, and you know..........
I think you should buy at least 2 more!    Honestly though, I really do think they are a terrific value and their value will increase over ime.  An awful lot of fine rifle for the money.

Anyone care to provide a link.  I am not familiar with Dunhams and can't find the ad for the K31's.  Thanks

I feel kind of like Cement Man when it comes to the K-31's.....I'd like to have one in a bunch of different configurations.

And how about posting that link to Dunhams.

I will be at Dunhams in Rice Lake, Wisconsin on Sunday to take advantage of this sale. I do not know where other stores are located. Maybe the link will provide this info. I think Cementmans logic is brilliant and I am going to go with the same logic myself. My brother and myself were shooting my k31 with the original sights the other day. My brother is a master with iron sights and knocked over several reactive targets with out missing, he was impressed with the gun as was I along with his marksmanship. Great fun! Hey Cementman, let me know how the Minnesota deer hunt goes. Here is the link.  www.dunhamssports.com

I found that site but can't for the life of me find any reference to K31's.  Are these in store purchases only?  If it is I guess I am out of luck.   >:(

Yea Jack they are in store only as far as I know. I do not know if they would ship to a licensed dealer or not but I know for a fact they would not ship to a curio and relics license holder as they do not even honor that in their stores. That is one thing I was not very impressed with them about.  >:( >:( >:(
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

Here is a thread from another board concerning the sale of the K31's from the mentioned store.

The $99 sale price of those K31's is a good bargain, but not good enough to drive 1,000 miles to get one for me. I had been looking for one for a couple of years, stopping in gun stores and pawn shops in my search with no luck. Then one day I stopped at a gun shop not far from my home and walked in and they had a rack of about 15 of them sitting there, all for $100 bucks each. I got two and wanted the only one they had that had a walnut stock but the clerk said the store owner wanted it for himself and wouldn't let it go. A few days later I went back and the walnut stocked K31 had been sold by another clerk accidently. I missed out on that one by not going every day and checking back. Sure would like to find a walnut stock to put on my beech stocked K31. Or better yet, just find myself another one with a walnut stock.  ;D

Do you have a C&R?

I don't have a C&R license. The picture of the walnut stocked one on their site looks good. I wonder if what you get really looks like that?

I have 2 K31's.  A beech stocked one and a walnut stocked one.  A while back AIM advertised some walnut stocked K31's.  They advertised them as the best looking they have seen to date, or something to that effect.

I ordered me one and was very disappointed.  I sent it back to them and that deal ended up costing me $50.00.

I am careful now when I order a rifle with my C&R.  I prefer to pay a little more if I have to if I can inspect it myself.  I still feel AIM is a good place to do business with.   :)

I'm like you in a way, I like to see what I'm buying before I buy it. I like to look the rifle over really good, both inside and out before I decide that I want it.  ;D
