Invest Arms Hawken Lockwork?

I am trying to identify my Italian Hawken .50 cal  ml rifle. It was about the first of its kind on the market back around 1973.Sold by Centennial Arms of Chicago. It is similar to an Invest Arms ,(Lyman,Sile, Cabellas Etc.) It has no markings other than Italian proof marks, Black Powder Only Made in Italy on the barrel and Serial number #1235xxon the stock ,lock and barrel The wood is excellent. the accuracy is superb. Clover leafs at 50 yards.......... My problem is the Hammer moves off center when reachin the nipple causing missfires. It seems like the hole in the lockplate where the hammer pin mounts is enlarged. Also Invest arms sells a complete lock that is similar but is not cut out for the bolster. Any body got an oppinion?    Thanks Horsefeathers.

73' is a bit before my BP experiance,but T/C has the same lock
(coilspring).
The thing that holds the hammer on and pokes thru the lock plate is the tumbler,and sadly many folks don't lube that thing and it wears.
I'm not so smart I know this off the top of my head,I have a picture of a lock I look at every time i need to identify a part.
Anyways, check with Dixie Gun Works and Track of the Wolf. Both have a easy to find web sites with e-mail contacts and answers for parts quearies like yours,it's free.
