why are SWIFT scopes so high?????????????

I don't consider $128.99 that high, but you are right, for a Swift. I see them for $99.00 here in Delaware.

I have tried them and did not like them, eye relief is not good at all in my opinion.

Could be one of the new "SRP" Premier scopes.  They've just came out with a new lense coating which is supposed to be quite a bit better.  If you compare all the features, photo etched reticle, speed focus, full saddle construction, fully multi-coated lenses, over the counter warrenty,  etc.  I think you'd be comparing a Ziess Conquest 3x9x40, at a  price of around tripple.
 You could check E. Arthor Brown Co.  "EABCO",  I've found them to have best prices and good service on Swift optics.  Good luck and good shooting.  31 bertram

Every Swift I have pick up or owned did not have good eye relief. If you think 3 inches is enought on a slug gun.
