Tim,

Marv is trying to figure out how to stay warm in the morning.  Tomorrow's opening day and it's supposed to be down to 37 degrees tonight.  It's unusually cold for opening day.  I'm about to freeze to death in this "global warming"!    :o

Tim,

It's cold enough tonight that I built our first fire for the fall/winter!  We're not used to this kind of stuff, like those in the frozen north are. Brrrr!  :(

I turned the gas on and lit the pilot on the gas fireplace insert in the family room a week ago, that's when we got our first frost, up until just a few days before that I was still picking tomatoes, they're slime now!! ;D

37 degrees?????? What island of paradise do you live on? Last year opening day when I got up it was -12 and 18 inches of new snow on the truck! By the time we hit the woods it warmed up.....-6! Never got over 11 all weekend. Of course we're in Northern WI, 6 miles south of Lake Superior in the "snow belt". Snows every day with about 300 inches or more a season.
Sorry to but in ::) ;)

In the "no snow" belt, below I-20, we rarely get snow.  However, it does rain about 45" every year!

After I started drawing Social Security checks, the cold nasty hunting weather has become a little less appealing!  ;)

We'll we're not doing it again this year. We're goin to be down in mid state this tme or I'm not goin. Too old for that stuff. By the time I get into the woods, pulling a sled full of insulated clothes so I don't start to sweat on the way in, I'm so tired I fall asleep and the deer tracks are all around me when I wake up. Then I'm cold and hungry and start a fire to get warm. Thats usually when you get the deer cause they come around looking to see what the smokes about. I guess the smoke covers your scent.
Oh, the stories we old guys got......

Yep, Lik2hunt has raised the right flag!

This sounds like a bunch of old geezers gathered around the potbelly stove with tall tales flying.

I didn't even go this morning, being a little under the weather and not wanting it to get worse.  Maybe this afternoon will work out a little better and it will certainly be warmer!  ;D

I'm not sure my stents and grafts would handle that kind of excitement. ;D ;D
