.41 Magnum Barrel ?

Anyone have a Handi with a .41 Mag barrel?
Been curious about this round for years. Wonder how it would do in a Handi .....
I know it's not on their barrel list, but I figure someone may have had one re-chambered for it .....

It wouldn't be cheap...but could be done...I'm with you on this one...I think the 41 mag is a very underated cartridge...and would make a fine addition to the NEF line..

The 41mag would require a rebore as well as a rechamber which would add considerable expense to the cost of the firearm. You mentioned the 32mag at MO, I believe Stimpylu32 is having or had a Handi made in that caliber.

I know whatcha mean, having calibers or barrel lengths that aren't factory available is very inviting, I have rechambers in .35Remington from .357Mag, 45-120 from .45-70 and a .280 Improved that cost from $60 to $135, but adding a rebore to the project can double the cost of the original firearm. The rebores on the .405Winchester and .338-06A-Square were right at $300, so wanting calibers that are unique has its price, but so does being a Handiholic!!

Nothing wrong on spending more for a quality cut rifle barrel...which is what you would wind up with getting from Oregunsmithing...While there is additional cost involved....Waynes work is excellent and a good value for what you have when he's done.....and makes it worth it to me...

If they made a .41 mag I would drive up there and get it just about! I have had .41s off and on since I was legal age to buy a gun, I love them, and with the handi I could turn it into a .414 supermag and use up the old brass laying around!
