I think we should have two forums.varmint hunting and Predator hunting are vastly differnt I believe. So, I thought we would see if you all would like to seperate the two.
Some times it is hard to root thru all Predator post to find the varmint post are vise versa..what say ye???cast yer vote and head to the greybeard saloon, drinks are on me..

Is an interesting thought but the overall pace of this forum right now would still (IMO) support both.
Seems that in my short 3 to 4 years here, the Predator hunters would post strongly in the fall all the way up to March then the subject would switch to Varmint hunting along with custom rifles, who build them, or how to build your own, would take over as the popular post. These post were very light this spring & summer. Do you suppose that high gasoline prices and limited trips had something to do with this?

A lot of the Varmint hunters were Predator hunters of course and would be setting up their rifles to switch from ground squirrels to Fox & Coyotes. Had lots of great discussions on calibers and bullet types. Always had a few asking about the .22LR and had constructive arguments on the .22WMR or the newer .17HMR as everyone was getting ready to GO!

This has been light as I said already, I do expect for it to improve…but I think we are ok with this one forum till the posting picks up.

I see no reason to change the forum, It has worked for a long time and it will probably work just like it is.........Joe....

As far as changing the forum, I find it totally unnessory and with out merrit, Most of the people that would post on either forum would be of the same ilk just as Glanceblamm has stated. As the season changes so do the hunting people change their tactics.

yea,,we know all your dislikes..thanks for the repeat..may be you can bring in all your buds that have nothing to do with this forum and have them cast their votes.most of your post here have nothing to do with the matter at hand any way.and seems like all you want to do is gripe about other post and the way people want to express their view.very negative you are.and set in your old ways.any thing new is taboo are anything you don't agree with you want to create some sort of annoyance..thanks for all your efforts..just can not understand why folks like you want to come to places like this and cause dissent..

Koyote.

If this bit of garble was ment for me let me tell you something Sir. This forum was one of the best places to visit until Feb 2006 when you showed up with your one sided jibbersh and had to tell the world what you had and go on and on about what you know and how stupid every one was that didn't agree with you and your cut and paste bs. Looks to me like you ought to stop and smell the roses, Take a look around you and see that people don't post behind you very much. Maybe you should kinda cut back on your bs and get down to some serious discussions about what is going on around you and gauge what you say accordingly. When some asks for help you come back with a barrage of babble about something that does not pertain to the question.. For a new poster this would run him or her off. I don't think most of the posters here gives a hoot about how many guns or anything else that you have { although you make it out to be the best in the world } Modesty is not in you and that is plain to see, With your he he he and so forth, You need to get a life. I would love to meet you and we could discuss this in a more manly fashion, Never been very good at hiding behind a desk or computer. You can get my E-Mail adress from my profile or i am in your area occasionaly and maybe we could get together........Joe.......

Sorry that's NOT the way this works. This was a look at splitting a forum. As I mentioned when you called me there is no set number of votes to make that happen. It would need to have been a kinda landslide vote to carry. It isn't. It didn't.

Now IF you want to ask for a NEW forum in the Request a new Forum area we can take a new look but again as I mentioned in our phone conversation I am at a point where we have too danged many forums. Matt has already told me that at some point we're going to have to stop just adding new ones unless we remove some older inactive ones.

Kyote thanks for the recommendation.

My only concern here on GBO is to pass on good information and have a good time while doing so. I know you have some good things to add to the mix and we can all gain knowledge from each other. There are times that i may call on all of the people here for information. I want to reiterate, The main thing is we all have to keep the conversations on a civial basis and I will try not to be too grouchy. Glad to be here.......Joe........
