Does anyone know where I can get an annealing kit? I saw one once and now I can't find it anywhere. I think it was made by Hornady, really only does one at a time. I only have 100 fireformed 30-30AI brass to anneal. They came from 375 winchester brass. Budget is tight so I don't need one of Ken Lights really nice rigs. Thanks for any help. IronMonkey

Try taking out the primers and putting the cases, head down, submerged in a pan of water up to the bottom of the necks. Get an inexpensive propane torch from Wally World and heat the NECKS one at a time,and as you finish with one, knock it over and proceed to the next one. DO NOT APPLY HEAT TO THE CASE HEADS! That's the reason for having them in the water with the primers out, to keep the rest of the case cool. After the cases dry you can load them as usual. :wink:

How long are you supposed to heat the sucker? I want the hornady kit because the liquid changes color I think when it it done. Any help on length of time is appreciated. Daniel

IronMonkey,you can order the Hornady annealing kit directly from Hornady. I did this past winter. It works great. Just go to Hornady's web site on go to the case care section. Dave
