TC White Mtn. Carbine trigger job?
« on: November 07, 2006, 09:52:37 AM »
Hello,
I have a White Mtn. Carbine with another one on the way and love them.  BUT, the trigger leaves something to be desired.  Is a home trigger job possible or can it be easily converted to double (set) triggers??

IMHO double set triggers have no place on a hunting rifle or shotgun.
That said my Renegade has such a setup, and it is great for target work, however I only have a smoothbore barrel for it, at present, and it is a PIA.
I'm of the opinion that the White Mountain Carbine is primarily a tree stand friendly, hunting rifle.
Y'all, of course, are free to use whatever you want.  ;)

I have many close friends who have hunted w/ d-sets for years with great success,I just got a renegade w/ one & it is set just right for hunting & I am looking forward to using it. I still want to know if the WM can take one IMO.  Mike

I have several T/C caplocks and two of them are WM Carbines. Mine don't have objectionable trigger pulls, but I do like the DS triggers on my Renagades. I don't know if the WMCs can be set up with DS triggers, but I suspect they can. I'd contact T/C and inquire. Te folks that I have spoken with there have been quite agreeable.
