That'a a low number, it was made in 1910. Now if it is chambered for the .38 special, the correct name for it is Police Positive Special. If it just says Police Positive on the barrel check to see if it's a .38 S&W. That is a different cartridge from the .38 special (the special is longer and won't chamber fully). Both models with serial numbers in your range were made in 1910.
I had a Police Positive for years. I just bought a D-frame .38 special cylinder from Gun Parts, had it installed and it shot beautifully. Wish I still had that old gun.
