I have a new Leupold that has such bad parallax that I can't get it to zero.  Trying to use it at 100 yd target.  It doesn't have an adjustable objective so do I have any options to fix it or just send it back.  Aren't most standard scopes set to be parallel free at 100 yd unless specified.  What can I do about it?

What scope? IF the 3.5-10 or 4-12 with no AO then in my opinion they are worthless. At 10X I consider AO mandatory.

BUT it might be you just don't have the eye piece adjusted correctly. Hold it looking at blue sky or a white wall. Don't look into it too long at a time. Take your eye away regularly so as to not allow your eye to do the correcting. Now generally from factory setting you'll need to back it off (toward your eye). Do this a bit at a time and look again thru scope at sky or wall. Continue to do this until you get a good clear crosshair. Lock down the setting.

Now if you still have problems and it's not one of the above mentioned scopes it needs to go back to the factory. If it's one of the above going back is not gonna help.

I agree some what with Graybeard. But I go by anything over 10 power needs an OA.

What scope do you have?

It's a vari-x III not a new VXIII.  3.5 X 10 X 40 without the AO.  The eyepiece focus doesn't seem to help any.  Thanks

I have the exact same scope on my Tikka. I don't have any problems with it at all.

If you think there is a problem with the scope, call Leupold and send it back for them to check it out. After all it is a Leupold and they stand behind there product.
