I have a Kimber 45 that I put the 460 rowland conversion on. It is very easy and can be switched back if you don't like it. The loaeded ammo works fine and does give yuo some  real power, about 940 ft. lbs with the 185 grain bullets. The conversion adds about 1 1/2" to overall length. The whole thing take less than 30 minutes to convert. You don't need to be a gunsmith , just follow instructions. I really like mine and have had it for 2 years.
