H&R prices

I've seen a big difference in some of the prices people quote for H&R rifles.

Around here you can get a NIB Ultra for $230 a regular fpr $200-210 or the shotguns new for under $100.

At that price buy them all!!!!! Here in Canada you are hard pressed to find any Handi's anywhere. And a regular Handi is $239.00CDN. Ultra's are not available at all as far as I know. An Ultra stock set ordered from Brownells is well over $100.00 CDN. So buy them all.

Since Walmart is everywhere in the US cept California, and they're real close to what Sportsman's Warehouse and BiMart sells em for, they're the standard that I use for new NEF/H&R prices, $240 for Ultras, $280 for fluted Ultras, $200 wood or $220 syn for Handis, and $300-$320 for the BC and Target, shotguns are $95-$100.

Saw a used Hadi .243 at Bass Pro Shop in Las Vegas  several weeks ago for $210.

hello...i bought both of mine @ sportsman's warehouse...in meridian,idaho paid $239.99 for the ultra hunter...$219.99 for the standard handi...wally world is what quick say's...i didn't want to wait to order....sportsman's has a decent supply...plus they will mount & boresight your scope....

Was out price checking yesterday at some local FFL's.

The only 3 rifles I saw were:

NIB NEF S&W 500 = $289.00
Used NEF 45-70 synthetic w/scope(unknown power) on an Ultra base = $240  (rifle looked new)
Used 270 w/ scope = $250

$99 12ga

Here is western Wisconsin, the gun shops want about $100 for a used Pardner, $210 for standard Handis, and Gander Mtn has a BC on the rack for $399 (no bargains there). Wally wants $95 for a Pardner.

my local FFL orders from jsc. my last one was a 7.62x39 he i got it for 189.00 +13.50 shipping + 5.5% sales tax=$213.64
He adds $10 to most peoples orders, but not mine ;D I also bought a savage 116 300wsm for 418.00 thats 70 bucks cheaper than walmart. My scope was a leupold 4.5x14 50mm b/c vxiii for 541.00 thats 200 bucks cheaper than bass pro.
It just makes me sick looking at big outfit prices.

Around here, you can get all the shotguns for $50-75 each, and standard rifles for around $175.  Some places still like to charge $225 and up, but they usually get to keep them as most folks aren't foolish enough to put that kind of money in a used one.  I picked up a Buffalo Classic for $200, and the last few Handi's cost me $150 each.

The prices Jason stated are about what you can get one here in the northeast IF you shop around, are not in a hurry to buy, and are patient. Perhaps $5-$10 more on the average listed prices. Except that is, for the $200 Buff Classic, if I could find one for that I'd snap it up....<><.... :)

P.S. - anyone out there got a nice $200 Buffalo Classic they want to sell?....<><.... ;D ;D

The prices around here seem much higher than those often quoted on the board.  It's not that common to even find a Handi to buy.

Sometimes it is hit or miss, though.  There are times when you won't find a shop around with a Handi rifle, especially during deer season.  However, right after season goes out (and up until tax time), they will become a little more plentiful.  I have most of the shops keep me on speed dial to let me know when they get Handis in.  I'm still looking for that elusive (and reasonably priced) 7x57... ;D
