Ready as I'll ever be.

Killed one last month durring the T zone.......errrr........October hunt, so I'm not quite as psyched per se, but still looking forward to the opener 9 day.

How many of you 'die hards' will be leaving the woods just before noon on Sunday so as to catch the Packers vs New England game??  ;D

I havent decided yet myself. Missing a Packer game is unorthodox......but so is leaving the woods early.

I am hunting area 22a, it is thick with deer. The locals there practice quantity deer management, and there is some quality bucks too. I seen over 40 deer on opening day last year, we got 5 of them between the 3 of us. Did not get the big buck, seen him, maybe this year. We just sit tight and people chase deer by us all day. I will be so exited at sunrise on opener my eyeballs will be as big as dinner plates.

I'm Ready!!!
I shot a little buck bowhunting (First deer with a bow by the way!!  :o ;D) right betwen my dad's stand and mine. Every time I've went into this woods I've seen deer--which is great when I took my son to trim some branches around my stand and we kicked one out.  Just seeing deer is great.
As with most of WI, it really depends on pressure, so I'm hoping the weather holds out and is in the 30's-40's and I can sit all day.

I REALLY hope to see the Packers on Sunday. That would mean a buck, doe, and maybe another doe. Although I'm not 100% on all the new rules, I can pretty much figure on shooting everything I see  :o ;D

What about the Badgers playing Buffalo? Anyone skipping opening day for that one??  :D

Ready as I can be I guess the 6.5 Swede and the 308 Encore pistol are still on target from last year. I make a effort to shoot every year to make sure. Got a small buck  I shot during archery season and a fork that was given to me from a metro eradication hunt so if I get one fine if not no big deal as I will be muzzle load hunting too. My hunting partner will miss rifle season so I am not that gung ho since I have made meat already and recieved a freebee. Will probably hunt the opener weekend and see what develops from there.  Got tags left for late bow season too so will take it as it comes. Good luck every one.
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.
