Thompson Center R-55
« on: November 13, 2006, 09:36:40 AM »
Hi All,
I have been thinking about a new 22 semi auto and was concidering A TC Classic but have found out that they have replaced their "Classic" with a new R-55 line that pretty much looks like the old line but have been wondering??? why the change in the product line? Any input? I've been thinking about a 10/22 also but I see that some of the guys sink big money in them to really make them shoot. I guess that it might be kinda fun to build up your own rifle. but I don't have the time or the skill needed.... so for now am looking for pretty much a stock rifle.
     Thanks, Jim

I have the classic benchmark it is a bull barrel version of the classic. [22lr]  of all the  semi auto
rifles i have owned this is the most accurate one of all. the r55 has some minor changes that i
have heard of but nothing drastic. rimfire central has a T/C forum that can give you more info
on them
rather hunt with dick chaney then ride with ted kennedy
