Pro-Hunter 243 Range Report
« on: November 13, 2006, 09:49:40 AM »
I had a trigger job done on my new Pro-Hunter and the pull is right at 3 lb. The other "fix" or modification that I did was to float the pro-hunter forarm and make sure the forarm was not touching the frame when the barrel was locked up. I accomplished the trigger job by sending it to someone who knows what they are doing, and the forarm I filed and sanded so it would not touch the frame. I also cut an Uncle Mikes spacer and dremmel groved it to fit the contour of the barrel for spacers.

The load is 46gr. of H-414 with a Nosler 70 grain balistic tip. This is todays 6 shot group at 100 yards:

Thanks for the info. I have been looking at NEF's and Rossi's but I just like the fit and finish of the TC's. I really hate to spend the extra dough but I have always been a stickler for the fine details. The Pro Hunter really looks sharp. The Ruger #1 is running a close second.
