Personally I would love to see them make an action strong enough to take the 270 WSM in either a 26" or 28" barrel.

 IT WOULD SELL!!!!!!!!!!!

First off, I second the handgun option.  Then fit the barrels so they don't have to be sitted at the factory.  Waited 3 months one time to get mine back.  Chamber for 327 Fed., 25-35, 257 Bob, 7-30 Waters, 7x57, 6.5x55, 260 Rem., 338 Fed., 35 Rem., 358 JDJ,( I know, can't happen) 460 S&W.  More to follow.  But most of all, make them all work right!  No reason to make chambers, bore dimentions and twists that don't work!  Now, about the wood butt stocks.  If they had the same shape as the plastic ones, that would be an improvement.  Now back to 35 Rem., 7-30 Waters, 6.5x55, ect.  DP.

A match-grade shootin' iron in a PISTOL caliber - for competition (ASSRA) using cast bullets at 100 and 200 yards.  .327 Ruger / .357 Mag / 41 MAG! / 44 Mag / 45 Colt  to name a few.

A switchable ejector/extractor - operator's choice.

A match-grade trigger.

I'll through out my crazy idea for the wish list.  I would love to have 20ga slug gun with a stainless, 19" med. heavy fluted barrel with porting.  Would also take some nice iron sights on it too.  A case hardened rec. with a cross bolt saftey and a lower hammer from the factory would also be nice.  The stock would be green/black laminated stock that was shapped and checkered with a limbsaver on the butt.
This is the day that the Lord hath made!!  I will rejoice and be glad in it!!

Those are all great idea's ...but 95% of them will drive the $$$$ up and there is already companies out there Thompson Center Encores and Contenders with all that you desire .The reason I went to H&R and NEF's $$$$ and the fact that you can work them yourself with out the fear of costing a ton. I'd like to see it stay that way. Kurt

More than a two year old thread and most of us still want the same things!!

I like the old timers, 25-35, 25-20. 32-40, 32-20, 35 Win (Only cause shes rimmed ;) ) These available in an octagon barrel would be heaven!!!

As for stocks, bring back Blk/Gray laminates, add more thumb holes and how about some nice WALNUT!!!

I am happy with NEF I do not want to see the prices go up . That being said they could offer upgrades from their shop, like a metal triggergaurd or a brass one. Just call and place the order. More calibers would be good. More variety from the shop.

I'd like to see more pistol calibers.  For recreation, competition and even small game, you can do alot of shooting for little money with pistol calibers.  The auto pistols calibers are completely missing from the line.  Those of us who shoot .357 or .44 are good to go for two guns one box of ammo, but how about the 9mm, .40 and .45acp?  Heck, 45acp out of a rifle and you don't really need ear plugs if your outside.

.35 Remington

This is a no brainer for 'em.
They already have the barrel on the .357 mag.
Ream out the chamber to .35 Rem. and sell 'em by the truckload!!

So many people have asked for this.
I hope Big Green is paying attention.

Id like to see a heavy barrelled smooth bore 12ga, It sure would ease the recoil on the pred/turkey loads.

Also I would like the .22 hornet to come back, I didnt get one in time  :-[

I am also thinking now that remington has the wheel, we may see the .17 fireball and maybe the 221 come into play. It would be nice to have one in a .327 mag, if you could find ammo for it, for a new wiz bang round, sure hasnt gotten much attention lately.

Rem 260 SS 26" bull barrel, metal trigger guards, metal forend spacers,  interchanceable barrels that don't have to be fitted at the factory.  Customer choice of stocks and stock material/color Cinn or Camo, or grey and whether it's laminate straight,  or laminate thumbhole, etc.  Maybe they could offer a "kit"  rifle, customer chooses what he wants, caliber, barrel length and type, stock, level of fit & finish etc.  Nicer break open lever.  Speaking for my hunting partner who doesn't own a computer.  A left handed laminated thumbhole stock.

Thanks

OK, here's my two cents....

They are doing a good job now, but there is always room for improvment.
Here is my wish list in order of importance.

1 - Improve customer service in the barrel accessory dept. (more man power, faster turns, fewer quality issues)

2 - If I could order two new calibers they would be .32 Mag and .338 Fed.

3 - Offer all actions and barrels in blued and stainless.

4 - There is a lot of room for improvment in the stock dept.

Please and thanks - JM.

I would like to see a 7x57.  I'll be starting with the 7mm-08.  after playing with that for a bit, i'll ream to 7x57AI.  I've been told that's as close as I can get to 7x57.
That thumbhole stock looks really nice...  except that i shoot LEFT-handed  :P
