For what its worth......., and since I'm emailing Santa also this AM..... ;D
1).  Make the Target Cllassic available again and offer it in .35 Rem.
2).  Get a brass trigger guard and forend spacer completed and made available for the TC and BC.
3).  For those of us who shoot Black Powder Cartridge......a Target Classic OR a Buff' Classic in 40-65!  Kit it up with the brass fix'ins and you got a seller even in this economy.
Merry
Christmas

I would like to see all barrels come with the scope rail. Most of us use scopes and open sights just get in the way. As for calibers I would love to see .303 british available. That cartridge would be so sweet in a handi... rimmed case, a nice taper and all the knock down power you would ever need.

Once i ask about a double rifle in say 45/70, of course i was told it would have to sell for thousands, but guess who offers a double rifle in their SPS line?
I would like to have a double in several of the larger cal. we already have.

If the quality control were increased, a person coud build a group of survival guns by buying 2 to 4 rifles and have confidence that extra barrels and calibers would interchange in any combination.  Having the capability of using any barrel on any frame would improve the redundancy factor for all.  Why should a firearm need factory fitting if all parts are supposed to be interchangeable???????

I purchased a Buffalo Classic because it cost a lot less than those imported replicas, and it was a practical alternative to a muzzle loader in Louisiana.  However, I fell in love with this gun and feel that some changes could make this a real treasure to hang on the wall when it is not in the woods.  I also found out that this gun really shoots!  2 1/2" groups with the cheap peep sight from a good rest, two deer dead in their tracks for two cartridges since Christmas.  Can't wait to handload some lower power loads for target shooting.

A more classic trigger guard.  Some curve and flair would be great.

An octagon barrel, or at least the part near the receiver to allow for a better choice of receiver sights that would mount on the flat surface.  Would be nice to have a vernier sight on the barrel instead of a modern receiver sight.  Presently all I see available for the BC is the Smith ladder sight and it only has a buckhorn sight for use when the sight is folded down.  Not exactly what I think I want on this gun and not sure it will change adjustment like a vernier.  I like to maintain the classic look and a vernier ladder sight on the barrel would really dress up the BC.

Leave my hammer alone.  I like the high hammer since I am shooting receiver sights.

Maybe NEF could make a "Pigeon Grade" BC that could compete with those expensive replicas leaving me with more money for gunpowder and primers.  My BC would look much better with just a few improvements.

A 25-35, 25-20 and 32-40 in that order. In a BC style rifle if Remington chooses to offer them.

These are tops on my list of handi calibers to have...

CW

EDIT.. OCTAGON barrels for these calibers would be close to heaven on earth...  ::) ;D

a lot of folks would like to see barrels interchangeable(no fitting required), a good idea but if they do that the price would likely be 300 bucks per barrel. No way they could or would do that without raising prices. While it's true some guns need tweaking to shoot well, it is easily done. These guns go out the door for 300 bucks or less and you get what you pay for....i personally have never used customer service but it sounds like they need to improve on stuff like being more honest about when your gun will be repaired and shipped....like i said before 250 Savage would be nice, bring back the 7.62x39,and i would love a 32 H+R magnum. One more, i'd like to see the pistol cartridges,357,44mag,45 colt, and the 30-30 come to us with a slightly smaller barrel contour...so these guns could weigh in at 5 1/2 to six pounds or so...then they would be real "Handi" ;D

If they do start to make a 338 in any of the configurations (338 Marlin, 338 Federal, or 338-06) I do not see the others too far behind.
There are a lot of neat calibers that I would like to see as a Handi.  These are not in any order of want or caliber they are just as they pop into my pea sized brain.
327mag or at least 32H&R.
any of the above 338's
35 Remington.
303 brit
7.62X54R (Cheap ammo deer killer)
7.62X39 (cheap ammo deer killer)
30-40 Krag ( I know just get a .308)
6.5X55 Sweed. or 260 Rem (a 6.5 X55 Swede will have me plunking down my $ right now.)
9.3X62 or 9.3X74R
405 Win.
454 Casull / 460 S&W
375 JDJ

Some 6.5s like 6.5x55 or maybe .260.  Lower hammer for lower rings.  Stainless would be cool.  Maybe some camo dipped offerings.

I'd like a .357 or .44, blued 22" with Iron Sights. Oh wait, they used to make those didn't they.  :'(

+1 on a .357 Maximum since that's a real popular DIY rechambering
+1 on a .327 or .32 H&R
+1 on a fancy trigger guard/spacer to go with the BC frame and wood
+1 on octagonal barrels, especially for a BC

20" smoothbore 12ga w/open sights. Thought I'd seen one used, but can't find it on the barrel accessory program.
460sw on a 10ga frame??
Special edition barrel runs for the addicts.

I would like to see  a costumer service that could E-mail me and say the barrel you ordered will be in stock,,If we get your reciever sent in now... H&R can get it back in about  4 weeks ....I don't know how things work  there but I'd like, H&R costumers or # 1 in our timeframe..
Or a webpage that said there will be 200  - .357 barrels in stock july 15 ..  Or CS "press # 7 to hear which barrels are in stock now"  ....

I am very very  happy with a H&R barrel I got from this form last week.. But if I didn't like it. I wouldn't have to take it to a gunsmith to get the Rifle changed back to the original Cal.  I like the basic handi rifle idea ! They have a good assesory barrel line too..

I belive that more costom barrels would bring in more handi buyers.  more costumeized friendly

I'd like H&R to sell under  lugs to other barrel makers

I'd like 300 wisper, 32 H&R or  32-20  --- 6.5 mm.and a .40 cal...... The like in short runs even if it cost more ..bring back some old rim cases like the 25-35   and please H&R  don't be afraid of use handloaders - It's our hobby  -- and I think I'm the only one that is a real nut case!!!

The 7. 62 X 39 barrel was dropped  'cuse of problems  - but none or for sale, so those who have them must be happy ,,, . Thought a 30 -30 is about the same .

Here's one for all who would like to be able to easily rechamber their rifles. A factory barrel stub that is internally threaded. Also available from the factory would be prethreaded, unchambered barrels that use the same method as Savage for setting headspace (barrel nut). This could also be applied to chambered barrels so that rather than having to fit every new barrel to each reciever, a new or different barrel could be hand screwed into the stub, a headspace gauge inserted and the barrel closed. The barrel could be snugged up on the gauge, then the nut could be torqued down and off to the range you go.
Other than that, how about the option of a nicer stock that actually fits the reciver.

BC with steel or pewter trigger guard, straight stock with flat steel butt plate, Pewter end cap on fore grip. Octagonal barrel would be heaven.
