Pretty much everything on my list has been said except that H&R SMOKELESS Muzzleloader.

Do you know you can get such a barrel from SMI?

Well they have the .45-70 BC, the .38-55 Target, I'd like to see a .32-20 "small game" in that series.
Maybe 24" barrel.

Dub set trigger option on BC and Target Models maybe and extra option for when you send in your frame also.  Of course this would bump up the price considerable, but with a little carefull planning they could pull it off with out modifing the frame I think.

I would like to be able to order barrels and not have to send in for a fitting. A custom shop would be nice as well.

My biggest wish is for H&R to keep doing what they do best , make a good , solid Ameican Made gun that just about anyone can afford .

Your USH was my first gun which I bought because it was simple, hardy, and American Made.  Next I would like to buy a quality semi-automatic rifled shotgun for use against deer and hogs.

Please produce an American Made, heavy duty semi-automatic shotgun designed for use with today's sabot and heavy slug rounds.

I have to echo Busta on all points as he has made some very good ones.

Replacing the nickel receiver with SS on the Huntsman would be another positive. As would replacing the plastic trigger guard with metal, and in SS for SS receivers.

It would also be nice to see the Huntsman/Sidekick offered with a raised comb and scope mount for those who plan to add a scope.

Speaking only from experience with three Huntsmans the muzzle design (crown) inconsistencies seem to me to be the point of the most accuracy impact.  They are not cut as evenly as could be and could very possibly be the last fix to accuracy for this design. IMHO

Well I think I could keep going but since it muzzleloader season it seems to be on my mind.

Wonder what ever happened to Miss Diana Lynch?

I would like a lot of things, but here are a few.

I wish H&R made a 12ga Muzzleloader with screw in chokes for turkey hunting and other upland game.

A percussion module breech plug for the Huntsman/Sidekick that uses something similar to the .25acp breech plug with the hexagon head for easy removal.

A forend lug with a hole through it similar to the Encore, so a near full length ramrod would fit for loading and a screw on extended jag for cleaning.

Lower the profile of the hammer, to allow for lower scope mounting.

Make laminated thumbhole stocks. Bring back the gray laminated stocks.

Make a stainless steel Huntsman or Sidekick with cinnimon (or gray, or camo) laminated thumbhole stock.

And since we are dreaming, a 28 ga. rifled barrel with a 2-3/4" chamber. This would allow the hand loader to load 54 caliber saboted bullets in 28 ga hulls. Great short range/tree stand loads for the young and old alike, keeping within the definition of a shotgun. ;)

Gotta go for now, but I am sure I'll think of more later. ;D

i agree with you all, a replacement barrel program that dosnt require all the shipping hassle.....

also the barrel length options could be better, like some 24's and 26's as options for all rounds

more finish options, such as more stainless/laminate/checkering/bull barrels

I wish that  NEF/HR/Marlin would market more aggressively in Canada. We suffer from lack of supply up here---------------help!!!!!
Bass/Pro in Toronto has ONE Handi rifle in stock!! Why not appoint a center in Canada to look after the ' Canadian Barrel Program' we have lots of good gunsmiths up here.

My wish list:

To have the .38-55 properly chambered so that you can use lead bullets sized properly for the bore. As they are shipped, these guns have undersized chambers that don't allow for the chambering of a .381 bullet which is what the bore needs.

I would like .300 win mag, .375 h&h mag, 405win, 458win or lott.

I wonder why they don't already offer a .300 win mag?
It would be a really great elk load.

Someone evidently tried it before. Turned out to be too high a pressure and ended up stretching the frame under the stress. I would love to some how find the original post when it happend. But I believe it has been many years sense then..

They won't ever offer it in most all of these calibers...the frame can't take it and will stretch...with the exception to the 405 Winchester They could do that one if they elected too.....It would be a dandy one to have offered in the Buffalo Classic series..Quickdtoo had one made up from Wayne York of Oregunsmithing..and it's a keeper..

I would love to see metal forend spacers and trigger guards as standard items.

I would also like like to see some longer barrels.

Nicer metal work too. I agree with a true Ultra model, I'd pay more for it. Or a custom shop to order from.

Above anything, I would love to see them sell fitted barrel blanks that you could simply ream to whatever cartridge you desired.
