Newbie Here .308 Question
« on: November 15, 2006, 12:42:06 AM »
First time post here.

I have an Ultra .223 Bull barrel and I am considering a few more barrels (I understand this is this start of an addiction).  I am going to be getting a 45-70 barrel and I have alot of time with that round.  I currently own quite a few of them and one more will not hurt.  The next barrel I want is the .308  How much difference is there between the standard barrel and the bull barrel?  Is there an accuracy difference?  Does anyone know the weight difference?

I want to start developing some .308 loads for fun and hunting.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello Bob_VT, Welcome to the forums here and the wonderful world of Handis.
I see another Handi-holic in the making, MHO is get a least 3or 3 frames not
just one frame, thence if something goes wrong with a action you still have
one that shoots, I can not tell much about bull barrels, other than Bulls makes the rifle muzzel
heavy. in some cases bull is a better shooter. The only Bulls I have are 204R & 223.
 Take care safe shooting Marv.
