Have fun, how will you be hunting the bears, spot & stalk, bait or hounds ?  One thing to remember when you are field judging a bear, the bigger the ears look in proportion to the head the younger the bear. a big bear will have what looks like very small ears.

Spot & stalk...find fresh sign..and hunt them.. is how we are going to be doing it I think..It's pretty rugged in the area we'll be in...so I want to make sure when I hit em..they go down..and stay down..The bigger the ears..the smaller the bear...I'll have to remember that...

Thanks

The new .270 isn't going to make the trip?  ???
One thing about it tho, if you hit a deer with either one of those guns you can probably close your eyes and follow the blood trail.  ;)  ;D
