Load for a navy arms 45 caliber penn. rifle

I have a navy arms penns. rifle that look brand new, I have shot it once with 70 grains of pyrodex powder.  I have no idea what amount of powder can be loaded in this rifle.  I have never shot patched balls only a buffalo bullet of 292 grains.  No response from navy arms.  Any suggestions? I'm looking for something like the idea of not exceeding 100 grains in a 50 caliber.  My only experience is with the inlines and that seams to be agread on by everyone around here about the 100 grain max in a 50 cal, except some that take pellets going to 150.

I don't have that gun, but my Thompson Seneca in .45 is listed at 90 grains max with PRB and 80 grains max with conical. Some are rated a little higher, but I haven't seen a lower max load in a .45 rifle, so that might make a good limit till you know for sure. 70 grains is usually a pretty accurate hunting load in the .45's though, and it's what I use. As you get near the max, accuracy fades fast.

I can't tell you about maximum, but most of the .45 shooters I know get good performance with 75 grains of FFFg Goex, and a .440 round ball patched with 0.015 pillow tickin'.
