has anybody used the 460 rowland for hunting. you get 44mag power in a 1911.

That's what the cartridge is all about. The key is getting the right bullet for it. Call Clark and see if they have load data to go with their 1911 conversions.

I know Georgia Arms makes some loads for them, at reasonable prices..
I don't reload anymore..

I guess we are both wanting some real world feedback

Try a post at the 45ACP forum. I recall that a couple of regulars there use the 460.

I seem to recall that Clark and maybe Corbon sell loaded ammo for the 460. Probably not cheap though.

The loaded 460 rowland ammo is really not that bad. 50 rounds for$ 28.00. It is good stuff!
