I do not think they make a smokeless barrel for the Huntsman, Savage is the only one!

I have been following some of the guys that have them and they seem to be quite satisfied with the performance. It is not legal in Arizona to use nitrocellulose powder so I didn't order the barrel.

hey guys, yes tim is correct they do make barrels for the h&r frames.Im not sure if it matters if its a shotgun or centerfire frame. It would be really interesting to see how one of these shoots.Ive heard good things about the savages and see no reason why they wouldnt be just as good out of our N.E.F.s

Woodchopper, don't know how many of them are on NEFs, but the smokeless forum at modernmuzzleloader.com has a bunch of guys using SMI barrels from Ron Name.  Ron has an excellent reputation in both his word and work, and I've yet to read a report of someone not happy with their barrel.

I talked to Ron awhile back about getting a smokeless ML barrel for an H&R.  Ron told me that his barrel and sealed breach take all the stress, so he can even put these on NEF/H&R shotgun frames.

I'm still considering it.  Strongly :)

I owned one of these barrels for a few hours a few months ago, very unhappy with it to say the least. If you want details, give me a PM. I haven't read a bad report on one either, but maybe I should post a report. Maybe mine was just a fluke, but I seriously doubt it. There was NO WAY I was ever going to shoot that barrel the way it came to me. >:(
