Sidekick to be my #1 choice this season

Deer season opens here in Ohio the Monday after Thanksgiving. Traditionally I have used my shotgun with slugs for the week. This year I decided I will just use the ML- accuracy and confidence is much better. I took it to the range today for practise since I hadn't shot it in a year. At 50 yds. its dead on using 295 Powerbelts over 2 50 gr. Hogden pellets. I haven't gotten a deer with it yet since last ML season I didn't get a good shot, but I can't wait!  My friends were sighting in their slug guns and couldn't believe the accuracy of the Sidekick.

me to except mines a huntsman.......season opens in  9 hours 24 min. and 56 secounds not that im counting and its loaded with 90 gr. loose pryo ans a 240 xtp bullet .i have the quick release rings so since im backing up my 7 year old i took the scope off,,,but i will carry it if i get a long shot at a good buck :ohe will be carrying a 357 max h&r with a red dot scope....he killed his first deer with my huntsman a few weeks ago :Dmy huntsman only has a 19 in. barrel the other section of barrel is now on a 50 cal pistol that ill also be toting along... .jb

Good luck this season! So far, I have only shot one doe with my sidekick, but it has become my "go to" rifle for muzzleloading and regular gun season. I like the way it carries, and after hunting with traditional muzzleoaders for since 1977 ( my old eyes have finally forced me to use a scope) it is very easy to load and clean. Its very accurate, and the one shot I have taken at a deer was very impressive. I have truely enjoyed using this gun and I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have enjoyed mine. Some of my friends have jokingly berated me for using a ml during gun season, but I figure why not, I dont remember ever missing with the first shot and hitting with my second. Muzzleloading season starts nov 23, I cant wait!

Tommorow my sidekick gos to work stat os WI muzzleloader season 10 days.  doe tag and  buck to fill. Hope it gets a littke colder 50 to 60 degree weather all this week deer don't move much during the day.

Sidekick's sweet! Droped deer 45 yrd's on the run breaking both shoulders. Load 90 grs. T7, 300 gr. SST, Harvester crushed rib sabot. Scope 3x9 Redfield Widefield set on 6x.

My turn is coming up end of this week- been out of town the beginning of the gun season and then had to work, but either Fri. or Sat. is the day and I can't wait.
