springfield XD Holster/Sights

I have a XD Tactical in 45.  Anyone have a good holster for this. Also I'd like to get some new adjustable sights.

I bought a Blackhawk CQC holster for my XD Tacticle and put Truglow TFO sights on it. I've been very pleased.

Why sdjustable sights on an XD?

Did you put those sights on yourself?  Or did you have a gunsmith do it? 

If you did put them on yourself, PLEASE tell me how you got the stock sights off.  I've got a set of TFO's sitting in a drawer since I can't budge the factory sights.

You can do it yourself ,but you need to put the slide in a vise with padded jaws. You will also need a hammer and punch. Be forewarned those sights are in there,but they will come out. (Put a shot of oil on them before starting.)

One more quick thing before I break out the sledgehammer...

Do the sights have to go to the left, or to the right, to come out?  Or does it matter?

It doesn't matter, just take it easy, they will come out.
