I don't agree that it will not last long, Basically they took the .17 Mach IV and made it a factory loaded cartridge. You say it has a very big following, (the Mach IV), Then say the 17 Fireball won't last long. I believe what will happen is these wildcatters (yours truly included) will start buying factory brass instead of "forming" .221 Fireball brass to .17 cal. "IF" brass drys up we'll just have to go back to what we've been doing all along. I also don't believe "there are so many rounds so close to it" The .17 Rem is as far as I know is the only factory .17, although there might be an argument for the .17 Cooper. I was once contemplating buying a .17 HRM, now I might just wait and get me a 700 LT varmint, A reloadable 17. A .204 Ruger is in that class, yes, but I don't see where you can campare that "bunch of .22's", compete yes, but 17's are basically in a class by themselves. Where the .17 Fireball will be a most welcome addition. CRASH87
