....the navy arms rifle is indeed one of the lee enfield conversions....I saw one at the last gun show, some guy was carrying it around looking to sell it and once a dealer snapped it up he quickly added 100-bucks to the price....it had a black synthetic stock ....the one i just bought has a nice synthetic monte carlo stock that looks like wood, and it has a sling, the nice micrometer sights and nice receiver....otherewise i wouldn't have coughed up the high asking price.......still plan to get a buffalo classic.....read somewhere that nef is skimping on production of 45-70 barrels of all descriptions to focus on other line items.....still, there was one at the last show or two the dealer wanted 400 but offered it for 375......not bad....but it still hurts for a single shot.....nonetheless, it is so darned "cool" i still gotta have one....I remember the first time I saw one in a gun shop in Brewer Maine about 10 years ago I couln't bellieve what I was handling......wish I had snagged it then, the fit an finish was superb......and yes, I am a sick man.....so many guns so little income, it is all making me sick, sick i tell you!
