Went to the Big Reno gun show, and found another Ballard #2 Hunter for my collection. This one is a .38 XL with double set triggers, and the condition is absolutely the best I've seen on a #2 Ballard! It will fit in well with my DST #2 in .32XL, and my #2 in .44XL.
I found it first thing Fri morning, and latched onto it quick, as the price was 1/3 of a modern reproduction from Cody, and well under it's appraised value for an original.
Can't wait to get it to the range for a session, and see how it shoots. The bore is a solid 10, and the gun looks like it sat in a closet for most of it's life!
