Michael Richards rant

What Richards did, was certainly, and absolutley wrong. I wonder how much air time  the networks would spend, if say, Chris Rock, or some other black performer had gone off on a rant, and cussed out, and used white slur words,(cracker,redneck,etc.)  if the hecklers would have been white?

Didn't the heckler call him a cracker? I thought that was what started the whole thing. I could be mistaken though, don't want to start any rumors I haven't heard the whole clip.

Even if he did black entertainers call white folks racist words like Cracker all the time and get by with it. A white entertainer calls a black a nigger or some other racist term and all heck breaks loose. What he did may not be PC but you see it the other way around all the time.

It saddens me because Brother Richards is a fellow Freemason.  I like to think that my Brethren are above this, but, unfortunately we are all human and suffer the same flaws.

He should have just walked out.  You can't trade slurs with any monority group if you are a white male and win.  The white guy is always going to be the loser in the media.  He should have justt walked out and made them the suckers for buying a ticket.

Initially I just regarded it as a story in the celebrity news about some comedian who lost his temper. I didn't think much of it. Sure it was unprofessional, but it's inconsequential as news goes.

But now I begin to feel sorry for the guy after seeing the likes of Al Sharpton making demands and the hecklers demanding "reparations". Richards' tirade was played on the news. It would be very interesting to hear the heckling that led up to it. They must have said something pretty inflamatory to get the guy to blow his top like that.
