86 blooded

My 86 barked a couple weekends ago and killed a six point buck. It is a 33 Winchester with replacement barrel shooting a moderate speed 240 gr WLN cast. Looked like a 3/8 hole in one shoulder and out the other. Hardly any blood trail but he dropped about 20 yards from where he was hit. Heart and lungs hit with about a three inch long trench in the heart. Guess I need a larger caliber to keep em from running so far. ;) Lots of fun to pull up that tang sight then not need it. Twas a 20 yard shot. I didn't remember my Cooper, long drag, but it was mostly down hill to the barn. Next time I'll sit in the barn and call them over to the rope hoist. Then Old Jeff Cooper will be smiling in his grave. Good luck to 'yall. Bandito
