Beaver Time?
« on: November 23, 2006, 03:23:52 AM »
Hey guys (Tom especially),

I don't have as much time to trap as I'd like, but I usually find time for beaver in the spring. But this year I would be able to get out this fall and winter a lot more then usual.

Which leads to my question...would you guys prefer to trap beaver in the fall, winter or spring? And why?

You can vote a couple times if you trap two seasons.

Keith, I trap beaverwhenever I have open water.
Now this may be the end of October ,and into December. Also, whenever ice goes out in the spring. This may be march or april, and run till mid may.If I am trapping in the north and we have a late spring,I take the beaver as long as they remain good--which could be well into May.
The part I like about spring beaver,is I can concentrate on just one animal.
