Took the 45-70 out to verify she was still sighted in today.
I swear to God this thing must be the Angel of Death because I just cant miss with it. Every stink'n rock, knob on a stump, sapling, can, bottle or black dot on a piece of paper I pointed it at from 25yrds to 100+yrds ended up with a hole in it with (1) one shot. LOL
You ever get one of those gun/ammo combo's that you can "feel" where it's gonna hit?? I've only had 4 combo's in my life, and this is one of them. My other ones were my 8" Colt Python w/125gr handload JHP's (1800+fps), the Trapdoor out at the farm with 405gr fact loads, and my old Smith & Wesson 1500 Varminteer .222 Rem w/handloads.
I like all my Handi's and H&R rifles, and I like all my Brand X firearms too. ....but I really love this 45-70!!
Whats really cool about this thing is, I've only made (2) sight adjustments to it after taking it out of the box. (1) elevation, (1) windage.
