suggest barrel maker

I would like to have a .38 special barrel for an encore rifle, where can I get one made? I perfer stainless steel.

TC Custom shop offers it in blued .357Mag and Maxi, but no SS. Just shoot the .38 Spec in it.

I saw that, but how is the accuracy shooting .38 special with such a long bullet jump, I do this all the time with my revolvers and it doesn't seem to be any problem. but I am having dreams of a very accurate quiet squirrel gun. with that in mind do you think I would be satasfied doing this with a .357 max chambering? I kinda like the idea of the max, I think it would make a dandy short range deer round! but only if it would dubble as a squirrel gun with .38 special. wait a minute I just thought of something, can I hand load the max as light as a target .38? will my .38 dies work with the max, neck sizing only?

I have a barrel from them, they do good work and are excellent to deal with.  You won't regret it.

Or try OTT, On Target Technologies.  They will make a barrel to match your ammo, using your blank if you have one, or theirs.  In other words, you don't have to get a barrel, custom or not, and try to match your case to the chamber--they match the chamber to the case you provide.  Custom flutes, brakes, and flatsides are also options.
