Marlin 336T

I have a Marlin 336T with out the cross bolt safety. It has a straight stock model and until today I was unware it was a sought after type of marlin. I have always prefered the curved marlins myself and for a straight stock- a Model 94. It shoots quite well under one inche at 50 yards and about 2 or so at 100.
Is this a fairly rare marlin or just one no one lets get away? Has it been sometime since they were made? I also have the centenial edition model 39. almost exactly alike except for width.

I have straight grip Marlins in .22, .357, .44, 30/30, and .45/70 - all without the cross bolt safety - I simply like the way they balance and carry. I don't see them as a high dollar collectable, it is more a matter of personal preferance.
