New Ruger Flattop as a custom platform?
« on: November 24, 2006, 03:40:10 PM »
What are the thoughts on the new Ruger Flattopp 44 magnum as a platform for a 5 shot custom (45 LC, 475 or 500 LB)? Is there enough frame there for the oversize cylinder? I just had the thought running around in my head today that a flattop with a Bisley grip, 5.5 inch barrel and in one of the above mentioned calibers would be a good looking piece. When you have to spend hours proctoring an exam the mind tends to go lots of places. Mart
