Hi:
What is the truth about the NEW WINCHESTER MODEL RIFLES that are on the Winchester International website?  Are they being made overseas or is that website just not up to date?

Even though the model is slated to be discontinued, there are guns sitting in warehouses, and parts in warehouses waiting on assembly.  It will probably be a year or two before the supply dries up completely.  If you look at the history of some other discontinued models, that's not uncommon.  The Stevens 44 Ideal action was later used in the 414 Armory when the 44 was replaced with the larger frame of the 44 1/2

The Union Contract prevents them from being made anywhere else other than in that plant by those workers for the additional two years that the contract runs after the plant closed. After that who knows what might happen. Until then ain't no more gonna be made.
