256 Maximum

Are any of you guys shooting a 256 Maximum? If so, can you share some load info. Particulary interested in velocity with 87-100 grain bullets. What is its case capacity? Thinking of one on a Contender to compliment my Brown 97D in 256 Mag. Thanks guys.

So this now exists! I have been interested in this round since before it existed. Who makes the contender barrel? Are there dies?

Mike,

Match Grade Machine offers barrels as does Bull Berry.  I think CH4D has dies.  If I go this route I will probably use my 256 Win Mag dies to bump the shoulder and a 367 Max die for sizing the base.  From what I have been able to gather it will run about the same velocity as a 257 TCU.  Hope this helps.

My 256 Maximum is a 12" EBCO.
