Only if you are big fan of .300 savage thatd be good. And that rifle could be worth $$$$ when you plan to sell in few years later.

I have come very close to buying M760's in .300 Savage. As a kid we had three or more .300 Savages in the house, but never one in a pump. The price of the new ones at Grace is good. The only reason that I would not buy one is that I have developed all my loads in the last 20 years around the Remington 722 bolt action. The same issue would come up if I was loading for two different bolt actions in the same caliber.

I would pick that one up and never regreat it fast handling rig for up close enought power for 300 or more yards and you couldnt ask for a better setup

i have an old 52' model 760[corncobb] in .300 savage. very very good deer gun.

First check out the special run of 7600's in 7mm-08 at Grice Gun Shop. They have them in-stock NOW!

I wouldn't buy a .300 Savage, if I could find a .308, simply for ammo availabliity.
