This is a Rifle and Carbine Consecutively Serial Numbered - Never fired - in original box - Excellent Condition - like new.  A Winchester with cresant buttstock that has a 26" barrel is my dream rifle.

I don't need a matched set, this of course would be very nice IF only for the collection status, but I would not be getting them to safe queen them.  A single rifle as discribed in their add would be great and make me very happy:

1968 BUFFALO BILL 30-30 cal. 122169 mfg. (rifles & carbines)
Engraved blue receiver, nickel plated forend cap, barrel bands and buttplate, medallion in stock
RIFLE - 26" heavy octagon barrel $545  ;D
CARBINE - 20" heavy octagon barrel $545
Consecutively Serial Numbered Matched Pair – Rifle & Carbine $1200   ;D ;D

So I thank you for posting the link to WINCHESTER commemoratives so I can spend my year end bonus on one of these fine 26" rifles.  Of course the wife will just  ::) her eyes knowing another one will not even touch the satisfaction level... I mean does it ever  :o

Sorry I was at work and the site is blocked from there and I could not remember the name of the site, but I knew I could find the url and they had decent prices. The one locally is a bit high because it is a consignment rifle, but Winchesters are all going high here. Good luck with your new rifle when you get it.

Sorry for the late post. I just saw this. I have one of these beauties. It’s the 26 inch version. It was given to me as a gift from my best friend. I started to almost cry with joy. It wasn’t the rifle but the very act of the gift of our friendship. The rifle was shot and had a few minor handling marks but nothing big. This rifle is going to be used and shot. I put a Williams FP Sight on it. This rifle can shoot! I mean it can put six shots in a two inch circle at 100 yards! I would never put a scope on it but if I did I am sure it would go much smaller. If fact, I plan on using this rifle to go after Antelope. I am working up a load with the Speer 130 grain Pointed soft point and will use it as a two shot wonder on the hunt. One in the chamber and one in the tube. Love this rifle.
